We actively promote our Irish culture - through sports, our language and music. Hurling, camogie and football are provided as extra curricular activities for both boys and girls. We place a great emphasis on Gaeilge and provide a Gaeilge Club after school. Instrumental music lessons are taught by a specialist teacher who visits the school.
'It is our mission and purpose to provide an education which has at the centre of its organisation, activities and relationships; values that reflect the ideals of the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.'
Our school participates in the Green Schools Programme - an international environmental education programme and award scheme that promotes and acknowledges long-term, whole-school action for the environment. We have been awarded three green flags to date.
Under the Children First – National Guidance for the Protection and Welfare of Children 2011 the Board of Management has ratified the principal Mr. James Roberts as the Designated Liaison Person (DLP) and the deputy principal Mrs. Murphy as the Deputy Designated Liaison Person (DDLP).
