We will hold a “Parents V Pupils Chess Challenge” on Tuesday 27th February in the school at 7.30pm. We are inviting any parents who can play chess to join us with their child for an hour's challenge where parents will be asked to play against members of the chess club (but not their own child). Games will begin at 7.30pm and will finish at 8.30pm sharp. Refreshments will be served for adults in the staffroom and for pupils in Room 10 (HSCL Room) immediately afterwards. We have selected Tuesday 27th February as it is free from Champions League and Europa League soccer matches! If you are able to attend please complete the form overleaf and return it to the school. Success in Girls' Finals in Limerick

Congratulations to the Girls' Chess Team on winning Bronze in the Girls National Chess Competition for Primary Schools in The South Court Hotel in Limerick. Well done girls.

The school's Chess Club takes place every Friday immediately after school from 2.30pm - 3.30pm from September to the end of April. Our members are coached by Manuel Gardenes, at different times during the year. There is no cost involved. This year we have 75 players and the club.
