Labhrás arrives in Australia

26th April 2000: Greetings to you all and top of the mornin' to ya! Hope you are all well and happy. We got a lovely surprise today in the post...a happy traveller arrived alive and kicking. You should have heard what he was saying while we were opening the box- it doesn't bear repeating!!! Let's just say he's happy to be out and about and he's been taken home tonight by the first of our eager hosts. Melissa will be writing about his stay with her in his travel diary, and emailing you tomorrow, so stay tuned. Thanx for the pressies and the gorgeous letter - we loved it all!! We are attaching some photos- hope you get them. We made a movie, but somehow that's been wiped. We'll do it again tomorrow with our fingers crossed!!! Bye for now, Mrs.F and 5/6 CF

Hi our names are Gillian and Kathleen.We are 11 and 12. How are you ? We are fine. We have sent you two letters but you haven't received it so we have to write again.We received Labhras and your little gift. No Labhras has not lost his shyness.There will be a special delivery coming soon. Australia is a nice place to live. Is Ireland a nice place to live? Do you have a favourite? Some of the sports we play are AFL FOOTBALL, BASKETBALL,   NETBALL, SOCCCER AND TENNIS. AFL stands for Australian Football League. We have to go now so bye from Grade5/6CF
