My Cosy Christmas by Dion Dunne
On Christmas Day when I was resting,
My turkey and ham were both digesting!
The fire a blazing, the drinks were flowing
I looked outside "My goodness it's snowing".
Santa is gone, his work so tireless,
We had settled down to hear the 'wireless'.
A song came on; it was 'Crackling Rosie'
Just the job to make Christmas cosy.
The family are here, the neighbours are calling,
The baby's tired, she's started bawling!
Time for bed, she has to go,
I'll have to lower my radio.
It's getting late, it's near midnight,
It's time for me to say goodnight.
I leave you now with one more line,
I hope your Christmas was as good as mine. |
My Cosy Christmas by Martin O'Connor
The radio is playing softly
All the Christmas songs,
Children are playing with their toys
That they've waited for, for so long.
The fire is gently glowing
While the cocoa is steaming on the pot
Outside it is still snowing
But our marshmallows are melting on top.
Outside is a blanket of snow on the ground
But together we're warm, safe and sound
Huddled up beside the fire
This makes my cosy Christmas time.

My Cosy Christmas by Shane Power
Christmas is my favourite time of year,
Everybody is happy and full of cheer.
Santa left lots of presents under my tree,
I was so happy and full of glee.
Off to Mass on this frosty winter morn
To celebrate this day when Christ was born.
We all sat down by a massive feast
I ate so much I felt like a beast.
We played with our toys and had great fun
Beside the cosy fire I fell asleep with the radio on. |
My Cosy Christmas by Michaela McDonald
On a cold, dark winter's night
I love to sit near the fire
And look at the sparkling Christmas lights.
A cup of warm hot chocolate in my hands
Topped with tiny marshmallows all for me.
And listening to the radio playing Christmas bands
Watching movies on the telly
Featuring Santa and his big jelly belly.
Beautifully wrapped Christmas presents
Under the glistening Christmas tree
Milk and cookies left out by me
In hope that Santa will soon be here.
And in the morning children awake
To find their presents under the tree
And tear them open full of glee.
As I look outside later that night
At the frost upon the cold, cold ground
I turn to see my family
All cosy together as Christmas should be. |
My Cosy Christmas by Josh Byrne
On Christmas Eve night as I lie in bed,
Wonderful thoughts spin around in my head.
Exhilaration, excitement almost too much to bear
What will await when I bound down the stairs?
With nervous apprehension I creak open the door,
To find a huge pile of presents stacked on the floor.
Santa O Santa, you've spoiled us again,
Our squeals of delight are impossible to contain.
As the turkey is prepared, family start to arrive
With greetings and pressies, the party really comes alive.
We put on our hats and sit down to dinner
We pull lots of crackers, I'm always the winner!
When we've eaten our fill and we're feeling quite dozy,
We snuggle up beside the fire and make ourselves cosy.
We turn on the radio to hear Christmas tunes,
The sound of carols playing makes our afternoon.
The day draws to a close all too soon,
It's been a brilliant Christmas and I'm over the moon.
The fun that I've had, the presents I've received
Even better than last Christmas, that I couldn't have conceived! |
My Cosy Christmas by Rachel Kelly
At Christmas we all get up early,
Barely able to get out of bed.
Our heads still on the pillow
Hoping our presents will weigh a kilo
Left by the man in red.
We listen to the wireless
While we feed our dog
By the warm glowing fire
And the prickly green Christmas tree.
My Snuggle Christmas by Chloe Rossiter
Hip Hip Horay, it's Christmas Day.
Rocking around the Christmas tree.
Pulling Christmas crackers and having fun,
And don't forget to snuggle up by the fire and have some fun.
