School doors are opened at 8.50am and teachers supervise children at assembly time from 8.50am to 9.00am. The school gates are closed at 8.50a.m. for safety reasons and teachers who leave school during the school day must ensure that the gates are closed after them.

Break times:

10.50am - 11.00 a.m.: Recreation time

12.15p.m. - Children going home for lunch leave the school

12.15 p.m. - 12.25 p.m. Remaining children eat lunches in their classrooms

12.25 p.m. - 12.45 p.m.: Recreation time

School ends at 1.30 p.m. for the infants and at 2.30 p.m. for all other classes. With the exception of children who travel to school by school bus all infants are expected to leave at 1.30 p.m.

School vacations are arranged in conjunction the Department of Education and Science as outlined from year to year in the agreed standardisation of the school year and the staff of the school to ensure that the school remains open for the required minimum of 183 days. Parents are given a school calendar each year detailing all vacations and planned events. In extreme weather conditions, the school will be closed after consultation with the Chairman, Board of Management, principal and staff. Parents will then be informed of the closing.
