Dear Third Class, How are you today? Yesterday (8/5/00) Setanta arrived and we were all
very happy to see him and we loved all of the little gifts. We will definitely find you some great Aussie
gifts. We are at the moment making Setanta a travel journal and as soon as it is ready we will send him
home with students.
Today's questions - 1. Does your school grades go from grade 1-7 like ours or is it different? 2.And

9/5/00 Eoin Dunbar here! Our grades do not go to 1 to 7. They go from Junior Infants to Sixth Class. There is Junior Infants, Senior Infants, First, Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth and Sixth. There are 8 grades in our school altogether.

Clodagh Kearney here! The green on the Irish flag represents Catholics. The orange on the flag represents Protestants and the white on the flag represents peace and when they are put together they represent peace between both Christian religions. Our flag is known as the 'tricolour'.

How many hours do you spend in school? Do you get homework? Do you have to learn spellings and tables like we do? How many children are in your class and in your school? (Eoin & Clodagh)

(15/5/00)Dear Third Class, how are you all? we are all doing well and so is Setanta. Setanta has started going home with the children and is enjoying the cuddles and playing the Nintendos and Sony Play Station. We took Setanta to assembly this morning to show the whole school. I think he was a litle shy.

We would like to know what the area is like that you live in. We are very close to Brisbanes city centre.
Therefore, we are surrounded by traffic, houses close to each other and we can see the city skyscrapers from our classroom window. We are only one hours drive from both the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast. They are both very beautiful places to visit.

What is the weather like there at moment? It is Autumn here at the moment so the mornings are quite cool and it warms up during the day....the weather is perfect at the moment and it is unfortunate that we are stuck in class.
